ISO 27018 – Certification for the protection of personal data

How Is InteroCloud Data Secured?

InteroCloud data is encrypted with a 256-bit key during transfer between your device and our servers and stored with 256-bit encryption (just like your banking information).

How to Access InteroCloud Data?

Account owners and clinic staff each access InteroCloud using their own account secured by a username and password. Account owners can control access permissions for each user, including controlling access to patient records, personal data and clinic appointments.

How is InteroCloud Data Backup Done?

InteroCloud automatically performs daily backups, thus ensuring the security and availability of your data.

Who Owns InteroCloud Data?

There are two levels of privacy to consider with InteroCloud. Account information we collect from our account holders to open their InteroCloud account (such as administrator name and billing clinic information) and patient data that our customers collect (such as patient name, demographics and medical information for medical records). Our privacy policy talks about premium which you can read here.

Patient data (records, patient profiles, appointment history, etc.) is always owned by you, our customer. So this means that InteroCloud acts as an agent that stores patient data on behalf of our customers. The account owner (you) retains ownership of all patient data.

How Do We Process Credit/Debit Card Data?

When you provide or update payment information for your InteroCloud subscription, it is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our payment processor Stripe (stripe.com). Your debit/credit card details are never saved on our servers. Your card is debited directly by Stripe who then issues the fee on our behalf.

Stripe uses and processes your payment information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
